Pack Meetings

The Pack meeting is when we bring together all of our Dens to celebrate our achievements, give back to our community, and have fun!

Pack 711 holds meetings the last Wednesday of every month (calendar permitting) from September through June. Additional pack events and community service opportunities occur throughout the year.

Who: All Scouts, their family, and friends are encouraged to attend.

What: Each month’s Pack Meeting has a different theme and activity.  

When: Typically the last Wednesday of the month starting at 6:30pm

Where: St. Ambrose Church Hall
              191 School Street
              Albion, RI 02802

Why: We gather as a group to compete and play games with the scouts, recognize
          achievements, make Pack-wide announcements, and most importantly, have fun!!

Pack Yearly Events

Here are some of the events on our agenda for the 2025 – 2026 Pack Year:

  • School Year Kickoff, Popcorn Fundraiser Kickoff & Recruiting Night
  • Fall Family Campout / Halloween Party
  • Breakfast with Santa
  • Special Camp-in (TBD)
  • Pinewood Derby
  • Blue and Gold Banquet
  • Arrow of Light Crossover
  • Spring Family Campout
  • Lincoln Memorial Day Parade
  • Chase Farm Family Campout
  • Summer Cub Scout Day Camps

Den Meetings

Dens are the core of the Cub Scout program.  Each den is a group of 6-8 Scouts from the same grade and is lead by a Den Leader (a registered and trained adult, typically a parent of one of the Scouts).  The Scouts and their families participate in regular Den Meetings to complete a series of requirements needed to earn the next Cub Scout Rank.

Who: Scouts, and parents are encouraged to attend.

What: Den meeting activities will vary based on the Scouting Adventures the Den is working to complete.

When: Typically held 3 times per month, time varies depending on den.

Where: Location varies depending on the Den.

Why: We gather as a Den to have fun together completing the Cub Scout requirements and elective activities!

The den leaders will let you know all the information about when the dens meet.

We regularly go camping and take trips.  Here are some of the places we like to visit:

  • Yawgoog Scout Reservation
  • Hiking at various sites throughout Northern Rhode Island
